aspiring biologist raised in michigan to troubled russian immigrant parents. struggled throughout his early life and eventually had his dreams sidelined due to conscription, the only saving grace being his continued passion and newly-made friends despite the troubles around him/in his life. struggles with a brief period of slight-alcoholism later on after moving to NY as a way to cope, but eventually makes his way out with help from a newer friend, leopold, and is able to attend further education. he keeps in close contact with his friends via mail and loves writing long letters. quiet, blunt and straight-faced but kind; he loves books, animals, warm foods, and nature and is a fairly talented realism-focused artist.
